Invisible braces can cost from £2,500 to £4,000 depending on the treatment plan and whether a single arch or dual arch is used. This price covers an initial consultation, x-rays and 3D mapping, preparatory work, first fitting and regular adjustments.
At Bass Orthodontics, we offer invisible braces in Harley Street that start from £250 per month, depending on the treatment, with our average duration of 12-18 months.
Invisible braces or clear aligners offer a fast, minimally invasive and aesthetic way to straight teeth.
At Bass Orthodontics, we offer a Clearline® aligner system, which is similar to Invisalign.™ Each case is personally designed by Dr Bass for fast and individualised results, using the latest 3-D technology and software.
Initial Consultation – During the initial consultation phase, our orthodontist talks about your proposed treatment plan, what is involved and may show some initial impressions of what your smile could look like.
X-rays and 3D mapping – If the patient wants to proceed, we take scans and photographs during the initial consultation for detailed mapping of the patients’ mouth mechanics. These images help to create the impressions used for the patient’s invisible or clear aligner trays.
Preparatory Work – Some patients may require some preparatory work before using invisible braces. This may include adding small composite patches to each tooth to help the clear aligners grip onto each tooth and move them. For some patients, we may need to create more space between teeth when the patient’s mouth is packed.
First Fitting – Here the patient gets the first feel of their invisible braces in their visit. It may feel tight when it is put on for the first time, but this is normal, and it slowly starts fitting easily.
Changing The Invisible Braces – The invisible braces are changed in one week or two simply depending on the decision of the orthodontist. If the teeth have not moved to the desired position, the time may be extended. Each new aligner is designed to align the movement of the teeth as intended, moving the teeth towards the intended alignment goal.
Our price for invisible braces is based on a monthly rate and therefore if you require more revisions or your treatment time is longer than expected (12 to 18 months), this could increase the cost of your overall invisible braces treatment.
Our goal is to get the invisible aligners to move your teeth into the desired position and this may be compromised for more complex cases or if the patient is not wearing their trays as required.
Other factors that might make treatment more costly are if a bracket comes loose or a piece breaks and you require more sessions with your orthodontist.
Here’s a breakdown of the various treatment options for invisible braces, given that some patients may require single or dual arches:
Yes, you have the option to pay for invisible braces upfront, but typically we require a deposit ranging from £495 to £2500 and set up a monthly standing order to pay for the remainder of the treatment.
Our monthly payments for invisible braces are from £250 per month and are paid via a standing order.
Yes, for additional revisions or if a bracket comes loose or a piece breaks, you may be charged for extra revisions.
Invisible braces may be more expensive than metal braces, but they are popular because they are less noticeable, more comfortable and can be removed for eating and cleaning. They typically work best for mild to moderate alignment issues.
Metal braces, often called “train tracks,” are usually the most affordable option and start from £1,500 and are effective for almost all types of orthodontic problems, including complex cases. They are fixed in place and work well, but are more visible and can feel more uncomfortable at first.
If your priority is low cost and treating a wide range of issues, metal braces often offer better value. If your priority is appearance and comfort, invisible braces may feel like better value even though they often cost more.

Invisible braces are considered to be very good value and are an increasingly popular orthodontic treatment for adults. Since the braces are invisible, they are barely noticeable and also more comfortable because you do not have fixed wires.
The treatment plans are usually faster than traditional braces and it means less trips to the dentist.
No, in most cases, adults do not qualify for orthodontic treatment on the NHS. NHS-funded orthodontics is generally reserved for children or minors with specific medical needs.
Adults interested in invisible braces like invisible will need to pursue treatment through private dentists and orthodontists.
