Orthodontics plays a vital role in the healthy development of children and teenagers.
During these formative years, the jaw and teeth are still growing, making it the ideal time to identify and correct alignment issues. Early orthodontic care can prevent more serious problems later, such as severe crowding, bite issues, or jaw misalignment.
Properly aligned teeth are easier to clean, which reduces the risk of cavities and gum disease.
Orthodontic treatment also improves chewing and speech, supporting overall oral function. Beyond physical health, it has a strong impact on confidence—many young people feel more comfortable smiling and interacting socially after treatment.
Addressing issues early can shorten treatment time and may eliminate the need for more invasive procedures in adulthood.
Ceramic Braces - Our ceramic braces are the most popular and well-known orthodontic treatment for teenagers. Also known as fixed metal or train-track braces, we typically make the brackets a nice white. The brackets are tooth coloured so they blend in with our patient’s teeth and are almost imperceptible.
Invisible Braces - We have our very own Clearline® aligner system, which is similar to Invisalign™. Each case is personally designed by Dr Bass for fast and individual results, using the latest 3-D technology and software.
